Recorded while they were still in high school, the album caught the attention of Partisan Records, home to fellow boundary-pushers like Fontaines D.C. and IDLES, a co-signing that speaks volumes about where this band is headed.

GEESE / PROJECTOR - Geese is a band that begins and ends in Brooklyn, as a project between friends to build a home studio out of a basement. Their songs are born from the same ambition: make music by any means necessary. They began recording together with sneakers as mic stands and blankets draped over the amps, all within the afternoon following a school day, up until they ran the risk of noise complaints. Recently, they signed a record deal, so they are thinking about moving on from sneaker-laden mics and blanketed amps, but their musical ethos has not changed a bit. Curiously alien, yet strangely familiar, the band's debut album, Projector, is a product of five teenagers whose love of music touches every part of their lives: their restless anxiety about their futures, and their pent-up frustration with their present-a perspective all too familiar in today's uncertain world.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Rain Dance

2. Low Era

3. Fantasies / Survival

4. First World Warrior

5. Disco

Side B

1. Projector

2. Exploding House

3. Bottle

4. Opportunity Is Knocking

UPC: 5400863056582
Label: Partisan Records
Release Date: 12.3.21
Format: LP Vinyl

Details

Label: Partisan Records (PTPS05LP); Play It Again Sam (PTPS05LP) · Released: 2021 · Country: Europe

Tracklist

A1 Rain Dance

A2 Low Era

A3 Fantasies / Survival

A4 First World Warrior

A5 Disco

B1 Projector

B2 Exploding House

B3 Bottle

B4 Opportunity Is Knocking

Credits

Piotr Lapinski – Artwork

Landon Yost – Cover

Jamie-James Medina – Design

Matt de Jong – Design

Björn Wolfram – Lacquer Cut By

Stefan Tenner (2) – Lacquer Cut By

Bernie Grundman – Mastered By

Dan Carey – Mixed By

Cameron Winter – Musician (Geese)

Dominic DiGesu – Musician (Geese)

Foster Hudson – Musician (Geese)

Gus Green – Musician (Geese)

Max Bassin – Musician (Geese)

Geese (11) – Written-By, Producer, Recorded By
