The quiet sophistication of the arrangements, rooted in jazz and orchestral textures, signaled an artist deliberately remaking himself on his own terms.

“Older is my greatest moment” George Michael

Originally released in 1996, Older spent three weeks at Number 1 in the UK and spawned 6 singles including Fastlove and Jesus To A Child. The album was a huge global success, going 6x platinum in the UK, as well as being verified platinum in another 22 countries. Written, arranged and produced by George, it sees him exploring new genres as he reflected on life, loss, love and healing. This iconic album is now available as a 2LP gatefold on 180g vinyl beautifully remastered from the original tapes.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Jesus To A Child (6:50)

2. Fastlove (5:24)

3. Older (5:32)

Side B

1. Spinning The Wheel (6:21)

2. It Doesn't Really Matter (4:49)

3. The Strangest Thing (6:00)

Side C

1. To Be Forgiven (5:21)

2. Move On (4:45)

3. Star People (5:15)

Side D

1. You Have Been Loved (5:27)

2. Free (2:59)

UPC: 194398570914
Label: Sony Legacy
Release Date: 9.30.22
Format: LP Vinyl

Details

Label: Sony Music (19439857091/B); Aegean (19439857091) · Released: 2022 · Country: Europe

Tracklist

A1 Jesus To A Child – 6:50

A2 Fastlove – 5:24

A3 Older – 5:32

B1 Spinning The Wheel – 6:21

B2 It Doesn't Really Matter – 4:49

B3 The Strangest Thing – 6:00

C1 To Be Forgiven – 5:21

C2 Move On – 4:45

C3 Star People – 5:15

D1 You Have Been Loved – 5:27

D2 Free – 2:59

Credits

Jonathan Elliott (2) – Design (Additional)

George Michael – Design (Sleeve Designed By)

Peter B.
