Laura Lee's bass lines anchor a sound the trio built largely in a Texas barn, and that isolated, unhurried quality comes through in every track.

Khruangbin's first album is simply amazing. The groove rhythm of the bass perfectly melds with the guitar textured melodies as they are surrounded by a melodic drum beat that takes you to journey into another world. Each song is a distinction of it's own, from the Soul rhythm of "Mr. White" to the Thai funk inspired "Dern Kala" to the the surf rock of "Zionsville". It's a musical masterpiece to experience.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Mr. White

2. Two Fish And An Elephant

3. Dern Kala

4. Little Joe And Mary

5. White Gloves

Side B

1. People Everywhere (Still Alive)

2. The Man Who Took My Sunglasses

3. August Twelve

4. Balls And Pins

5. Zionsville

6. Bin Bin X

UPC: 5060391090764
Label: Night Time Stories
Release Date: 4.1.16
Format: LP Vinyl

Details

Label: Night Time Stories (ALNLP40R) · Released: 2016 · Country: UK

Tracklist

A1 Mr. White – 4:58

A2 Two Fish And An Elephant – 3:33

A3 Dern Kala – 3:39

A4 Little Joe And Mary – 5:08

A5 White Gloves – 3:38

B1 People Everywhere (Still Alive) – 2:39

B2 The Man Who Took My Sunglasses – 2:13

B3 August Twelve – 6:13

B4 Balls And Pins – 3:28

B5 Zionsville – 4:11

B6 Bin Bin X – 2:51

Credits

Laura Lee (5) – Bass Guitar, Vocals

Samuel Muir – Design

Donald Johnson, Jr. – Drums

Mark Speer – Guitar, Percussion, Vocals

Will Van Horn – Pedal Steel Guitar

Andrew Wilkins – Written-By

Laura Lee (5) – Written-By

Mark Speer – Written-By
