pink-floyd-a-momentary-lapse-of-reason-2-lp-vinyl
Pink Floyd – A Momentary Lapse Of Reason (2-LP Vinyl)

The 1987 original was a complicated birth, assembled largely from session musicians at a moment when Roger Waters had declared the band finished. What Gilmour and Jackson's 2019 remix corrects is something fans long sensed but couldn't quite name: Wright's keyboards were buried in the original mix, his contributions diminished at a time when the band's internal politics were still raw. Hearing "Learning to Fly" and "On the Turning Away" with that balance restored brings the record closer to what Pink Floyd actually was.

Originally released in 1987, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason was updated and remixed by David Gilmour and Andy Jackson for The Later Years Box Set. By returning to some of Richard Wright’s original keyboard parts and by re- recording new drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin have restored the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members. The front cover features an alternative photograph from the original album cover photoshoot. This Vinyl was remixed in 2019 from the original master tapes and contains 2 LP’s packaged in a Gatefold and pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl at half-speed 45rpm for enhanced audio quality, with a 28-page booklet.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Signs Of Life (4:23)

2. Learning To Fly (4:53)

3. The Dogs Of War (6:05)

Side B

1. One Slip (5:10)

2. On The Turning Away (5:43)

Side C

1. Yet Another Movie (6:15)

2. Round And Around (1:12)

3. A New Machine (Part 1) (1:46)

4. Terminal Frost (6:16)

5. A New Machine (Part 2) (0:40)

Side D

1. Sorrow (8:46)

UPC: 194398448718
Label: Sony Legacy
Release Date: 10.29.21
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0998/4609/5166/files/Pink-Floyd-A-Momentary-Lapse-Of-Reason-2-LP-Vinyl.jpg?v=1791275454
