Prince had nothing to prove and knew it, which is exactly why this record still sounds so free.

Prince's seventh studio album, and the second to be credited to Prince and the Revolution, Around The World In A Day, was released on April 22, 1985. Featuring no fewer than four singles, Around The World In A Day saw Prince and the Revolution change musical direction yet again, experimenting with psychedelic textures, incorporating new instrumentation, and expanding the genres of songs within the album. With audio newly remastered by original mastering engineer Bernie Grundman, with additional mastering by Chris James, the Around The World In A Day 2025 Remaster will be available November 21, 2025 on 140g black vinyl.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Around The World In A Day (3:25)

2. Paisley Park (4:41)

3. Condition Of The Heart (6:46)

4. Raspberry Beret (3:31)

5. Tamborine (2:46)

Side B

1. America (3:40)

2. Pop Life (3:42)

3. The Ladder (5:26)

4. Temptation (8:21)

UPC: 198029337211
Label: Sony Legacy
Release Date: 11.21.25
Format: LP Vinyl

Details

Label: Paisley Park (9 25286-1, 1-25286) · Released: 1985 · Country: US

Tracklist

A1 Around The World In A Day – 3:25

A2 Paisley Park – 4:41

A3 Condition Of The Heart – 6:46

A4 Raspberry Beret – 3:31

A5 Tamborine – 2:46

B1 America – 3:40

B2 Pop Life – 3:42

B3 The Ladder – 5:26

B4 Temptation – 8:21

Credits

Doug Henders – Cover (Cover Painting), Painting (Cover Painting)

Laura LiPuma – Design (Design And Assembly)

David Leonard – Engineer (Engineered By)

David Tickle – Engineer (Engineered By)

Peggy McCreary – Engineer (Engineered By)

Prince – Engineer (Engineered By)

Susan Rogers – Engineer (Engineered By)

Dan Chapman (3) – Illustration (Photo Illustration)

Lee Phillips (2) – Legal (Legal Rep)

Cavallo, Ruffalo & Fargnoli – Management

Moultrie Accountancy Corp. – Management (Accounting)

Prince – Mixed By

Susan Rogers – Mixed By (Assisted By)

Nancy Bundt – Photography By (Innerspread Photography)

Prince And The Revolution – Producer, Arranged By, Composed By, Performer

David Leonard – Recorded By (Recorded At Capitol Records By)

David Tickle – Recorded By (Recorded At Mobile Audio By)

David Leonard – Recorded By (Recorded At Paisley Park By)

Peggy McCreary – Recorded By (Recorded At Paisley Park By)

Susan Rogers – Recorded By (Recorded At Paisley Park By)

Peggy McCreary – Recorded By (Recorded At Sunset Sound By)

https://reserveselects.myshopify.com/products/prince-the-revolution-around-the-world-in-a-day-lp-vinyl
