Aja is the sixth studio album by Steely Dan, originally released in 1977. On the album, band leaders Donald Fagen and Walter Becker pushed Steely Dan further into experimenting with different combinations of session players, enlisting the services of nearly 40 musicians, while pursuing longer, more sophisticated compositions and arrangements.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Black Cow (5:07)

2. Aja (7:56)

3. Deacon Blues (7:26)

Side B

1. Peg (3:58)

2. Home At Last (5:31)

3. I Got The News (5:03)

4. Josie (4:30)

UPC: 602445359639
Label: Geffen Records
Release Date: 9.29.23
Format: LP Vinyl

Details

Label: Columbia (COBY-90092) · Released: 1999 · Country: Japan

Tracklist

1 Introduction

2 Josie

3 Peg

4 Deacon Blues

5 Black Cow

6 Home At Last

7 Aja

7 Peg (Instrumental)

9 Josie (Instrumental)

Credits

Michael McDonald – Backing Vocals

Bernard Purdie – Drums

Rick Marotta – Drums

Chuck Rainey – Electric Bass

Denny Dias – Electric Guitar

Larry Carlton – Electric Guitar

Walter Becker – Electric Guitar, Electric Bass

Roger Nichols – Engineer

Donald Fagen – Keyboards, Vocals

Gary Katz – Mastered By

Wayne Shorter – Tenor Saxophone
