Sampling exclusively within a single catalog is a serious compositional constraint, and the fact that it works here speaks to how much sonic range Peanut Butter Wolf has cultivated across nearly thirty years of releases.

The Architect, one half of Homeliss Derilex, is a foundational figure in Hip-Hop whose early production work helped spark Stones Throw Records around when it was founded in 1996.Three decades later, The Architect returns to where it all began. Sampling exclusively from Stones Throw's vinyl catalog, he constructs an instrumental beat album that feels both archival and forward-looking. Overseen and curated by Peanut Butter Wolf, the project captures a rare full-circle moment. The album weaves together sounds from across the Stones Throw universe, sampling a diverse range of artists including Sudan Archives, Mild High Club, Los Retros, John Carroll Kirby, Jerry Paper, Sofie Royer, Jonti, and more.

Tracklist:

FIREBALL

DOCTOR WHO

LOST IN SPACE

JONNY QUEST

ZIGGURAT CHOPS

LEAF FOIE CHOPS

THE FORCE OF LIGHT

COSMIC CONSUMATION

M31 (ANDROMEDA)

KURNUGI BREAK

CLOWN ZONE

A.G.H.I.J

ASCINTIONS

THE MAGI VISIT

LETTING GO

UPC: 659457252311
Label: Stones Throw
Release Date: 7.17.26
Format: LP Vinyl

Details

Label: Stones Throw Records (STH2523) · Released: 2026 · Country: US

Tracklist

A1 Fireball

A2 Doctor Who

A3 Lost In Space

A4 Jonny Quest

A5 Ziggurat Chops

A6 Leaf Foie Chops

A7 The Force Of Light

A8 Cosmic Consumation

B1 M31 (Andromeda)

B2 Kurnugi Break

B3 Clown Zone

B4 A.G.H.I.J.

B5 Ascintions

B6 The Magi Visit

B7 Letting Go

Credits

Architect (2) – Mixed By

Izznyce – Mixed By

Kyle Arizabal – Mixed By

Architect (2) – Producer
